So my favorite film of 2010 is, without a doubt, Black Swan. I, admittedly, have gone to the movies to see it three times... Natalie Portman is absolutely frightening and Mila Kunis entirely graduated from her Jackie/ That 70s show phase with an amazing performance as well. If Portman does not win the Academy Award for Best Actress i will severely question what our world has come to. But what I would really like to discuss is the experiences that I have endured each time I have gone to see it. The first time, I was with my boyfriend. A man was sitting a row behind us and maybe four or five seats over. Originally I thought nothing of it, but as the movie started to pick up I noticed strange remarks from him. He was moaning at any sexual innuendo and making strange loud comments throughout the first twenty minutes. Luckily for me he got up and left shortly after. Then later into the movie I got up to use the restroom, on my way out of the ladies room I glanced to my right and saw roughly four feet away glaring at me. When I went home that night and mentioned it to my mom she informed me that at the last film she saw a man with the same description was masturbating two rows behind her. Ugh I guess some people just get really turned on my ballerinas. Anyway the second time i went, the theater would not let me in because I did not have a birth certificate or passport with me.... I don't have a license because I can't afford a car and I plan to move to the city in less than six months anyway, but a passport??? I had a school ID that stated I was a senior in high school shouldn't that be enough? So I bought a ticket for Tron and just went to Black Swan (wow realll bad ass). Then the third time I went, I used the bathroom and (I am not exaggerating) each stall was ridden with some atrocity (including what appeared to be explosive diarrhea on the wall...) I am beginning to think that I am going to the wrong cinema... or maybe black swan has just brought an ominous and creepy vibe to theaters across the nation...

Sheewws
I go to a Catholic private school in a small suburb in rural New England, my budget and accessibility for the fashion I crave is modest to say the least. With the little money I do have, practical purchases have become a habit of mine. The last pair of shoes that I bought was probably a month ago,
and i have probably worn them six days a week since. How ever cute they may be, they are not what I truly fantasize about. Gaga (I know I know i'm biased because I am a HUGE fan) is my shoe idol. The talent that woman has in wearing shoes is mindblowing so I thought I would pay a tribute to her achievements in the walking industry...
the famous armani prive heels she wore at the 2010 Grammys, i'm drooling...
RIP Alexander McQueen, these were part of the fabulous art instillation that was McQueen in her Bad Romance Video (Which if you haven't already seen is the epitome of high fashion and music in one five minute video, watch it here)
Anyone not living under a rock has heard of her meat dress, but take a look at the meat shoes... i don't eat meat but this is fashion to the extreme. I'm pretty sure it's just meat wrapped around her usual go-go boots, but either way my jaw dropped to the floor. And in case you were curious, the meat was a special kind found from a local butcher that did not leave any residue and did not smell.
ummmmmm how? That sums up my response to these shoes (after a small fashion orgasm). Gaga is notorious for wearing these around, I can recollect at least four pairs that i've seen; my favorite being the ones covered in studs on the heel. Gaga discovered these in Japan from a 25 year old designer, Noritaka Tatehana. Some of his other pieces look like this:
then there's these....
these are her custom Armani shoes that match the mesmerizing metal dress that she wears during the finale of her concert, The Monster Ball. What really drives me insane with these shoes is the fact that at a show in Paris on December 21, Gaga tossed her shoes to the audience as a "dancer's tradition". Awww gaga I love you anyway. Take a look below:
hmmmm quite a difference from the first picture of my new shoes huh?? Ok well that's enough for today, I am going to bed.

Ke$ha
Ok so before today I had a very skeptical opinion of Ke$ha... She simply seemed like a trainwreck to me. I possess the philosophy that it is never appropriate to judge and or discuss the quality of something for which I am unfamiliar with. So before I went off ranting about Kesha I did some thorough stalking. I found that not only is she the new number two on my list of people to party with (next to GaGa of course) but she seems to be a genuinely kind and unbearably funny girl. Watch this:
i think the only way to describe this is EPIC! I watched a few more videos, one of which depicted kesha trying to convince random shoppers in a music store to buy her album, and then i fell upon her website. There I, this pretty embarrassing, took a quiz to find my spirit animal (I'm a tiger) and thoroughly became obsessed with the personality that is Kesha.
I Also listened to her music and was surprised by The Harold Song, it gave me a massive lump in my throat. It was so honest and soft that I almost mistook her for a mellow Hayley Williams (well... sort of)
Ke$ha's Website is a truly entertaining place to go and i deeply encourage you to find your spirit animal. If you do comment on what it is (partly because i'm 99% sure I have no readers and would like some self esteem). Oh ya and make sure you look at the Weird tab, the videos are ridiculous, one of them is actually the yoga fart video in one of my earlier posts today

Grace Jones
Today I have become entirely assured that Grace Jones is at the root of everything we have in pop culture today. And i worship that. Her work as a model has reshaped the meaning of androgyny...
..... obsessed yet?
how about now?
"Models are there to look like mannequins, not like real people. Art and illusion are supposed to be fantasy. "AHH i love her!!! here are some pictures to send you into the same Jones inspired high i'm in

Noisy Yoga
I live a healthy lifestyle, i am not a strict vegan but i try to stay away from animal byproducts and meat. Yoga, running, and swimming are part of my exercise routine and today I was researching a bit about each. Then I came across this...
It may be immature, but this kept me laughing for a straight five minutes, hopefully it does for you too.
Otherwise I am just going to share my obsession with lululemon... here's some sexiness on my wishlist:
yes i am one of those people that runs in a sports bra and spandex.... but i love the black and white print!

Nicola Formichetti Menswear 2011
The model, Rick Genest displays his ink in Nicola Formichetti's Thierry Mugler Menswear Fashion Show.
The epic, ridiculous, and brilliant Lady GaGa was also the music director for the show, the song in the background is a remix of her new song Scheiße which can be found on her new album, Born This Way out in stores May 23, 2011
Enjoy and Drool...
